Cooking Club

A few months ago Aubrey and her friends asked us to help them organize a cooking club. They wanted to learn how to cook. So once a month we all take turns teaching them how to cook a recipe. Since this is February, we decided to teach them to cook some baked goods. It was at my house this month so I taught the girls how to cook cookie pizzas and brownies. It was so fun! The girls were so cute and they did a great job. I really enjoyed teaching them. I hope they had fun!

The Kid's Favorite Shows Are Back!

Yes, Survivor is back on. The game is on! We have picked names and I will be curious to see who will win this season. Zachery always says that he doesn't ever win, but as I was getting our blog book ready to be printed up I realized that Zachery won twice last year! No more pity party for Zach! The kids are also excited to watch the Amazing Race and they love American Idol. I have to tape most of these shows because my children need sleep and they are so busy with other activities. They have already fallen in love with the mother and son team on the Amazing Race. Tonight we do have sad news, UCONN lost! Don is so sad, there is no comforting him. What is a wife to do? I just have to remind him that it is the tournament that really counts and our girls team is still #1 and undefeated! That puts a smile on his face!

Valentine's Day

Don and I celebrated Valentine's Day on the 13th. We had to because the restaurant that we wanted to go to had no reservations for the 14th. No problem, we really didn't care. Don got me a new bracelet and some roses. Then we went to Maggiano's down on the strip. I know everyone is talking about how bad the economy is doing, but last night the strip was crazy. It was so busy.
After dinner we decided to go to the Bellagio and see the gardens decorated for Valentine's Day. Boy, we were disappointed! It wasn't decorated for Valentine's day, it was still decorated for Chinese New Year. Oh well, I hope they still bring the butterflies in for Spring.
Can you see the Pandas?

We did find an new thing to see at the Bellagio. This has been here for awhile but we have never taken anyone to see it. This is the worlds largest chocolate fountain created by Jean-Philippe Maury. It is 27 feet tall, holds 2,100 pounds of melted chocolate, and produces 120 quarts per minute. Crazy. At first it looks really yummy, but then it kind of grossed me out. All of that chocolate just going and going. I don't know, it kind of reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

On Valentine's Day Don got a new scout shirt and chocolates. Yes, he asked for the scout shirt!
The kids got their chocolate hearts.
We hope you all had a fun Valentine's Day.

Sadie's......Again!

Zachery got asked to another Sadie's. This one is a little different. One of his good friends had surgery on his knee and missed Sadie's at school. So, some of his friends got together and held another Sadie's for him. I think that is what is going on! I could be wrong. Anyway, Zach was asked by his friend Nicole! Zach had a great time at the first Sadie's he went to. The girls did a great job, and he just loved it! We will see how this one goes! I hope the rain doesn't ruin some of their plans! Two down, one more to go!
Nicole is an "Office" fan and so is Zachery! Very cute way of asking him, using "The Office!" He loved it! He answered her using some quotes from their favorite show!
