Lacrosse Update

We are getting to the end of the season.  We won this game.  Ian didn't play a lot, but I got a couple of shots of him playing!

Let me tell you this story.  Monday was insane.  I have a cold, so I wasn't feeling good at all.  Also, it is laundry day.  Crazy time getting all of those clothes washed!  On top of everything, it was the freshman BB-Q and Aubrey had to perform at it.  She had to choreograph a tap number for the musical at the high school, so she wasn't home all day.  I went and took her some dinner.  I planned to stay there and watch the team perform. As I was leaving the school, Don texted me to tell me that Ian had left his lacrosse bag in the car, my car.  So I stayed at the high school until Don got there to get the bag for Ian's lacrosse practice.  Thank heavens it is down the street.  I drove home, and I get another call from Don.  It is picture day at lacrosse.  Ian does not have his uniform.  Don didn't get the email, that told him this was going on. So I frantically search the house for the uniform.  I find the shorts nice and clean in, but I can't find the other parts of the uniform.  I find them in the back of the car.  I then drive back to the lacrosse fields.  Thank heavens there are no cops around.  Yeah, I drove fast.  I get to the field in time and Ian puts on the uniform which is a mess!  Oh heavens!!!  I was a bit stressed!  But hey, the pictures turned out!



Prom 2015!

After searching for the right dress, doing her nails, doing her hair, and finding the right accessories, Aubrey was ready to go to the prom.  She was super excited to go.  Maybe it had to do with the dress or maybe it was because of her date, but she was super excited to go.  I honestly don't remember being that excited about my prom!  The girls were screaming and running around the house!  It was so funny.  Aubrey had a wonderful time.  Her date was so nice to her and sweet.  They went to eat at Brio's and then went to the prom which was held at The Grove.  Then the kids went to ride the Linq.  That is a giant Ferris wheel on the strip.  They ended the night at Serendipity for some frozen hot chocolate!  Aubrey came home at about 2:00 am.  She had a wonderful time.  I just wanted her first prom to be magical, and it was!  I was so glad she was happy!!

Battle of the Sexes Week!

This week was the week leading up to prom.  So it was a spirit week at the high school.  It was the Battle of the Sexes!  It is a fun week.  They have fun dress-up days and do fun activities.  It is really cute.  The boys perform with the cheerleaders and Dance Fusion.  Aubrey asked her friend Stuart to dance with her.  Her boyfriend had swim team practice, so he couldn't do it. I think he was glad!  Anyway, Stuart was amazing.  They had fun!  Aubrey loved dancing with him.  I love this assembly.  It is the best one all year.  The kids get into it and have a great time.  The boys take this so seriously!  It is so funny!
