So it is Nevada Day Weekend, which means no school for us on Friday! Yay! We were totally happy. Nevada Day commemorates Nevada's frontier heritage and it's entry into the Union as the 36 state on October 31, 1864. So to celebrate we went to the Cedar City Temple Open House. Before a temple is dedicated to the Lord, an open house is held. Anyone can go in. So we decided drive up to Cedar City and see the temple. We didn't have reservations, but we got right in. It was fun to be there with Ian. The last time he was at an open house, it was when the Rexburg Temple was having an open house. That was a long time ago.
After that we went for a drive up to Brian Head. It was so sad to see all the damage the big fire did. Amazing to see how it could of destroyed more homes. We went to Cedar Breaks. It was so pretty, and it was obvious it had snowed a bit already!
Then we went home. We stopped in St. George to eat at the Pizza Factory. It is one of our favorite places!
