I honestly think my children want to put me into an early grave! One graduation and two weddings. This is what the summer will be like. I have know idea how Austin asked Bree, but I did get these pictures! I am so happy for them. She is a great girl and we are excited to have her in our family! Big changes coming our way!

Signs of Aubrey
Before the boys left, I took pictures of their rooms. After graduation and as they prepare to leave, their rooms look very different. So one morning I went into Aubrey's room and took some pictures to document the way her room looked her senior year. It is hard to believe she will be leaving home soon. I will be honest, it is so hard. Almost depressing for me. I know she is going on to do great things. I am so proud of the person she is and how kind and forgiving she is. She is an amazing person, and there is going to be so much for her to accomplish and do! So here is a peak into her life! Or at least....her room!

Father and Son Priesthood Commemoration Campout (by Don)
Each year in May, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints commemorates the Restoration of the Priesthood to Joseph Smith by conducting a Father and Son outing (see mormon.org for details about the importance of the Priesthood). Each Church unit (ward) chooses what activity that will do, so this year our Grand Canyon Ward camped overnight in El Dorado canyon. Due to an event at my middle school, Ian and I arrived late at night so instead of setting up a tent, we decided to sleep in the back of our SUV due to the very strong winds . The next morning we made our way to the Colorado River for some cliff jumping and explored an old western mining town in El Dorado canyon. Of course, every Father and Sons campout involves either eating a lot of unhealthy food. Because Ian and I both slept in too late and missed breakfast, on our way back to Las Vegas we stop at Roberto's and ate some wonderful Mexican food. I always look forward to this event each year and the time that I get to spend with my sons.
Ian and I jumped several times each and then together...below are the best photos of us doing this. Let me just say, when you hit the water, the water temperature absolutely takes your breathe away.
Below are pictures in and around the old mining town. The owners of this area love to collect old/antique items and display them all over the property. Also, all of the original mining equipment from the 1800's is still just sitting around.

Dance Fusion End Of The Year Banquet
So today we had the end of the year Dance Fusion banquet. We had it at our church. Aubrey wasn't too excited about that, but she went out of her way to really dress up the gym. It really came out great! I think the hard work was worth it and I hope the girls loved it.
Aubrey lettered again this year. She also won best costume for this spring's dance, "It's All About To Change" and she won best dance for winter show, "Discover". Mrs. Dunn also got the seniors a very nice picture frame! It is so pretty!
The new captains and juniors gave Aubrey her superlative. Aubrey and Syann did it for the rest of the girls. They gave Aubrey, "Most Likely To Marry A Potato Farmer". It was pretty funny!
I think it was a great year. She really enjoyed it!
Oh Ian!!!
The end of the year is coming for Ian too. I can't believe he will be a freshman in high school next year! He had to do a project for Geography last week. My kids have had the same teacher and when they choose the country to do a report on and bring food in, they always choose Belgium. You know, where Don served his mission. We always make Gaufres de Liege or Liege Waffles. So good. Not American Belgium Waffles! Well, a girl right before Ian picked Belgium. Ian was enraged! What??? She told him, "I am just going to make waffles!" Are you kidding??? Ian couldn't believe it! So he chose Russia, and called Zach! Zach told us about Bleni. They are Russian pancakes. They are kind of eggy. We made them and they were wonderful. Then Ian decided to dress up. Zach had given him a t-shirt from Russia. So he wore that and a helmet Zach got him from Russia. It was pretty funny.
Then as I was going to blog about this, I found these pictures! Oh Ian!
