Father's Day

Life has been crazy this week, but we can always take time to celebrate our favorite Dad!!!!! Don is an awesome Dad. He takes such good care of us, and he loves to spend time with his children. We love to spoil him, and he hardly ever lets us. Well, today there was nothing he could do! We spoiled him. Austin spoke in church this morning and Aubrey and Ian sang with the primary. It was a great day for Don.
ShamWow!!!! It is a family joke! It really works!
Don didn't know what to think of these shorts. The kids picked them out for him.
He wanted a GPS system. He is excited to try it out.
They love their Dad!
Don also wanted a strawberry pie. Yummy.
Here is what the kids say they love about Don.
Ian: When Dad does yard work and then when he is done he always has time to throw the football with me.
Aubrey: When he cuddles with me.
Austin: When Dad thinks he is so hood!
Zachery: When we get to discuss things and work together on similar activities, like youth conference.

Getting Ready For Hill Cumorah

The kids are getting excited. Here are their campsite signs!! I love my Cricut! I use it for everything.

Tie-Dye Day

Hey, my life isn't crazy right now! No, I am not trying to get ready to go to New York, Don is camping in Utah, and I am trying to get the house clean! Sure I have time to tie-dye! Crazy I know, but what is summer without a little tie-dye time! I love to tie-dye. Once you start you can't stop. I love not really knowing what the design is going to be like. So when the kids asked to do it, I said yes. Aubrey invited a friend, Zach had the boys he is taking care of come over, and the Albright kids came!
Here is the before picture.
Ian getting to work.

One of our sweet designs!

Bunker Dance Recitals

The smell of hairspray, hot rollers are heating up, glitter all over the bathroom floor, and make-up ready to go, can only mean one thing.........recital time!!! Once again the Brasier family prepared for the Bunker Dance Recital. We love to go and watch Aubrey dance. It is a very exciting time to see what all the girls at the studio have been working on. This is Aubrey starting to get ready.
Ian calls these worms. "Why do you put worms in Aubrey's hair?" They are the only things that will curl Aubrey's hair. Her hair is impossible, and won't hold a curl. These sticks work great!
She is ready now! Yes, ready to go and for the family to wait an hour and a half in line so we can get good seats. Yes, I am not exaggerating! Ask anyone who has been to these recitals, they know!
This is what the curls look like after we are all done. They will last until her ballet number, when they are bushed out and her hair is in a bun. It takes a ton of hair spray to do this!!!
We can only take pictures and video during dress rehearsal, so the lighting is strange and the girls hair is all different. I don't know why the camera kept focusing in and out during the video, but it gives you a little taste of what she did. Just pause the music on the side bar before you watch it. Remember, it is a dress rehearsal. Aubrey is in the second row, so it is hard to see her from where I was sitting. You can just see the group and that is always fun. These girls worked so hard, and did great this year! This was her tap.

This is her ballet. Her teacher is a dancer for the Nevada Ballet Theater. She is so good, and has taught Aubrey a ton!

Proud Parents!
On a side note, Aubrey tried out of one of the recreational dance teams in May. She made the team and we weren't sure if she was going to be allowed to dance in it because she would be gone most of the summer and she is required to take one session of dance during the summer now. Well, Kathy Bunker agreed to let her only take one week and keep her on the team. Aubrey is excited, but nervous too. This is a big commitment. We are excited that her hard work has paid off. Also, we heard that, Kathy Bunker will be one of the guest choreographers at BYU for their 50th anniversary. Once again the studio gained praise for one of the competitive team's routines. They went to a convention where famous choreographers from shows like, So You Think You Can Dance, Stomp The Yard, MTV, and others were once again blown away by the dance studio and the dancers. Thank heavens for the show "So You Think You Can Dance." I swear it is the best thing on TV this summer! We love it. We love the choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon. Next week Stacey Tookey will be a guest choreographer on the show. These guys have worked with Bunker Dance Center, and they are amazing! One funny thing happened after the recital. We were all talking about our favorite routines from Bunker Dance over the years. I said I loved the Samurai one and Don started talking about about the one were they wore long white coats and tapped. He couldn't remember it. Then Zach got all excited and said, "Definition Funk, that is my favorite. That was crazy and so cool!" We all started laughing. Who knew that Aubrey's 17 year old brother would remember that routine and talk about how great it was. Believe me, that number was done years ago! So, even when you drag your sons to the recitals, they do remember them!
After the recital, we had to head to Cold Stone for a treat!

Flag Football Officially Over

I really didn't think there was going to be a flag football end of the season party. Nobody said anything, and I just figured there wouldn't be one. No problem. Don and I really didn't care. Ian had a great season and had wonderful coaches. What more do you want? Well, we got a call this week, and there was going to be a party! This made Ian's day. He was so excited. I was excited that I didn't have to cook! So we headed to a local park for some pizza. Look at Ian, he is so excited.
Here is one of his coaches explaining to everyone about Ian's position. Ian had never played football before, so he had a lot to learn. At the end of the season, he was getting it. Ian loves trophies. He was so excited to get one. His coaches are going to coach in the fall. Ian is so excited because he wants to play football in the fall. No more soccer. It is hard to let soccer go, but he is happy playing flag football. Austin was suppose to be at this party too for his team, but he is at EFY.
As we were leaving we saw this beautiful sunset. It has been a cloudy day, so the sky was so pretty as the sun went down. We had to take a picture!

Aubrey's Birthday!

This year we had a hard time planning Aubrey's birthday. We knew we wanted to do something low key, but what. She decided she wanted to go to King Putt, an indoor mini-golf place. There is one in Henderson, but now there is one on our side of town. So, she invited a couple of friends and off we went. Here are her friends before they went in. Now, this is the only good picture of her friends before they go in, because once they are inside.......well, you'll see.
Jenna, Allie, Aubrey, Haley, Ian, & Rachel
This is inside. Pretty cool! The kids had a blast. They loved it. There is fog machines going on, and all sorts of stuff. It was great!
Here they are inside!
Ian was always lining up his ball perfectly, and let me tell you, he did great!
Aubrey and the turtle.
The kids pose with King Putt!

Then we went back home to eat Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie.
Happy Birthday to me!!!!

Her gifts!

She had a great day!
