For years we have had sons that do the asking. You know, asking girls to homecoming and prom. Let me tell you, that is so much easier! The boys just decide if they want to go and then ask the girl. With a daughter it is tougher. You just wait and see. It is killer!! Aubrey said it didn't bother her, but we knew that deep down, she wanted to go. It was hard to see her watch, wait and wonder if she was going. Then it happened. I went out to go running, and there on the front porch was this poster. She was so happy. This boy is a friend of her's so it should be a fun date. No pressure. Now we are on a search for the dress!! Oh heaven help us. Oh, that is another thing that is strange, we have no idea what the plans are! When the boys asked girls, we knew the plans...now we don't. It is kind of strange!!!

Another Football Game To Watch The Half-Time Show!
We had another football game. Of course we go and support the girls dancing in the half-time show. This time I took pictures! I had already taped this dance. The girls were amazing again. I just wish the school would get a better sound system. Dang, Don's school has an awesome sound system and they are a middle school! Come on high school!! Even with the music being messed up, they did a wonderful job!
We got our parent shirts this week! Don is an awesome dance dad and supports his daughter 100%. I am so proud of him! He isn't the only dad. I would say most of the dad's are very supportive!
The next day, Aubrey had to go to tap at 9:30 and then go to the school for hip hop choreography from 12-6 pm. The dance team hired a choreographer from Utah who was a former Courgarette to come and choreograph a hip hop number for them. Their dance teacher wanted to keep it clean, so they hired this girl to work on it. Aubrey is not a hip hop dancer. In fact this is the first time she has ever danced in a hip hop dance. She said she kind of struggled with it, but I think she will get it! The choreographer is the lady with the black shirt on, right, back row. She was awesome!!! Now Aubrey is super sore!

It's Easy To Make Him Happy!
When the season ended last year we knew we might need to get Ian a d-pole. A d-pole is used when kids play defense. Ian found out last season that he was a very good defense player when he played lacrosse. Last season his team couldn't use d-poles, but this year he can. Ian wanted a d-pole before the new season started because he wanted to practice with it. It is much longer than his other pole. So this week, Don went out and got him the new d-pole. Ian is super excited!!! He has already been outside practicing with it. In fact, before he went camping this weekend he said to me, "Mom, take a picture of me and my new pole!" It is so easy to make this kid happy!

Fun Visit With Zach!
We knew that Zach had some time between his job ending and college starting. We knew he was trying to come down to visit. We just couldn't work it out. Then I decided that we should just get a bus ticket for him to come on down. When I told him my idea he told me that I didn't have to do that. He told me he worked it all out, but he wouldn't tell me when he was coming down from Utah. Then one day Don and I were coming home from a wedding reception and we saw Zach standing at our front door. We were super excited that he surprised us! It was so great having Zach come and visit. We really enjoyed visiting him before he went back to school. I think Ian and Aubrey loved it too. We had fun doing some things around town. Now he is back at school and we miss him. I look forward to the holidays when he is home again!

Dance Update!
It has been a busy week for dance. The girls were doing so much!! I am really glad because it gives them a chance to perform. They had to perform at the open house. Once again they were amazing. I was able to get some still shots of them.
They also had to perform at another football game. (Our football team won another game!) This game was on Thursday night because it was being filmed for T.V. show. Unfortunately, it started at 8:00 pm. That is a little rough when you are gong to early morning seminary. Lucky for the girls, they were able to leave after half time. I mean lucky, because the game went into overtime and everyone else got home after midnight on a school night!
Then they had some pictures taken of them. There were some really good ones of them.
Before the football game they had their head shots. They even took pictures by class. Here are the Juniors!
Here is their Jazz performance at the football game.
