Playing With The Big Boys!

The first few days that we were back, things were crazy. I had a ton to catch up on and things to do. The kids wanted to stay at home and relax. So, one day when I came home this is what I found. I just had to laugh. I really don't know what to say about this. This is normal in my house and Ian loves it when his brothers play with him and make up this stuff. I went to grab my camera and Zach said, "Don't worry, I already took pictures!" That's my boy!Aubrey's Apron

Before we left for Hill Cumorah, Aubrey had started to sew her apron with Sister Albright. In June the cooking club made aprons with Sister Albright. I thought this was awesome, because I have no clue how to sew. I want Aubrey to learn, so this was great. Unfortunately, because we were going to New York we were going to miss the club day. Sister Albright had Aubrey come over early and let her cut out her apron and sew a little of it. On our way back from New York as we entered Vegas, Aubrey reminded me that she had to go back over to Sister Albright's to finish her apron. As we walked through the door and into the kitchen, there hanging on the hook was Aubrey's apron all finished. She let out a scream and put it on right away. She was so excited. Thanks Elaine, she loves it!Monday, July 27, 2009
Highlight Of My Trip #2 Nauvoo
On the way back we stopped in Nauvoo. It was a rainy and yucky day, so we didn't really spend a lot of time touring around. Don and I did have an appointment to go into the temple. I was really excited. I think the kids were excited to just relax in the hotel room. I have such an appreciation for the early saints and what they accomplished with so much adversity around them.

Friends
It was great to see everyone, make new friend and renew old friendships. I really loved seeing my mother, uncle, cousin and her daughter, and my father and his wife. That was awesome! We also saw friends from Vegas. Then one night we saw a man walk into pageant talking on his cell phone and dressed in a shirt and tie. We could hear him say on the cell phone, "I don't think I will find them." There was only 15 minutes to the show. Then he walked up to us and said, "Do you know Kelley and Don Brasier?" We were shocked. My first thought was, "Oh no, what did I do?" Well, it was a friend of mine from high school's husband! We were so excited. I wish I had more time to talk to him! I am glad he found us. Then one night, I came out of the dressing room and Aubrey came running up to me telling me that she had to take me to a college friend. I said, "Aubrey I know Laresa is here." She said no, it is someone else. I looked at Aubrey and said, "LaDawn?" Yes, that is who it was. She is Stake Young Women's President and had come with her youth conference. She saw Aubrey and recognized her from the blog. It was so good to see her. We just hugged, and I started to cry. I just love LaDawn, we had so much fun in college. She was really a good friend in college when I needed one!
Me, Laresa (roommate), LaDawn
Zach and Rosie, proving that a friendship can last two years, long distance!
Don and Sandy (Lehi)
Aubrey and her friends. Many tears were shed when we left Palmyra.
I can't say enough good things about these boys. They are the nicest young men. Jamison greeted with us. Ian became so attached to him. He was awesome with him and I appreciated the help.
Grant was another one of Ian's friends. He was ordained a Teacher in the Sacred Grove during this week. He is a great kid. Don and him joked around all the time. We just love him!
When we found out the Maire family was going to be at pageant again, we were so excited!!!! We love them. I wish we lived closer to them because they are just great. Pageant Primary
Don and I were once again, called to the Primary. We love serving there. It is so much fun and it is hard work. We have them all day sometimes. In the end, you become very attached to the children there. This little guy was especially special to Don and I. I have known his mother for years. She was a college roommate of mine. J. was in the primary and we just fell in love with him. He is like a little man, and he says the funniest things. The day that we left, I was sitting outside reading my scriptures and he came up and sat down next to me. I said to him that today was the day that I was leaving. He just looked at me and said, "Sister Brasier, lets not talk about it." It just broke my heart. What a cutie!
We had A.'s brother two years ago and primary and this time we had her. She is a sweetheart. She is another one we always found outside our camper, just waiting for us.
The Robinsons also served in Primary. They were awesome! On the last day, Ian started to cry and said he was going to miss Brother Robinson.
We have had A. (on the right) both times we went to pageant in the primary. She tells it how it is. She is ready to move on to cast teams.
My harvest dancers!
Water day.
C. (on the left) is another sweetheart. I am her second favorite, tied with Zach. Don and her had a cute relationship!Family Home Evening Talent Show
For family home evening at the pageant, we had a talent show. It was so much fun. Here is Zach's cast team singing a song called "Pageant Tan."
