Last Post for 2016!

I have read a lot of people's post about how horrible 2016 has been for them.  The election and other things have brought so many people down.  Yes it has been a tough year for me, learning that my cancer has returned, but I don't think it has been a bad year.  I look at my pictures and posts and can only see my blessings!  So many wonderful things happened this year.  I am so blessed.  I am also blessed that my health is good and the medicine I am taking is working!  Here's to 2016!
January
I went with my Young Women to the Provo City Center Open House. It was amazing.  I loved the trip with these girls.  I love the Young Women of the church!  I just remember going sledding with them and it snowing.  How great for Vegas girls!
February
We went to Disney with Dance Fusion.  Austin was able to go with us.
March
Ian continued lacrosse and had a great year!
April
Aubrey went to the senior prom and looked beautiful!
May
The last Dance Fusion show for Aubrey.  It was so emotional.  It was hard for these two amazing captains to say good-bye!
June
Aubrey graduated from Centennial High School with High Honors!
July
Wedding number one happened.  I was so happy Zach married this wonderful girl!  She makes him happy.  They were married in the Columbia River Temple!
August
This kid started high school!  Here we go again.
September
Wedding number 2.  Austin married his sweetheart in the Payson Temple.  We love her too.  What a blessing these two daughter-in-laws are!
October
Don surprised me with a trip to Connecticut.  Oh I loved it!  We visited family and visited the Hartford Connecticut Temple.  Our family grew stronger this year!  We were so grateful.
November
I ran the Ragnar and got my Saints to Sinners medal.  The best part of the race was running with my sons!  That was so special to me!  We made some great memories!
December
We played in the snow!  It put us in the Christmas Spirit.  We loved it!
So on to 2017!  I think it looks good!  I love my family and I am so blessed!  Thank you for all of the love and support you have given my family!  Let's not focus on the negative!  Let's look to our blessings!

New Year's Eve Celebrations Begin!

We try to do a little celebrating with the kids before they go their separate ways!  So I took Aubrey and Rachel to the Cheesecake Factory for cheese cake and talk about life.  I loved it!  They are awesome!
Then we went to Red Rock, to go bowling.  Oh, the tradition continues!  We love it.  Us and the Albrights!  So much fun.  It was awesome having my older kids there!

It was a fun time.  Now they are off doing their own thing.  It was good to have them all together!

Ian's Birthday Continues!

My college aged, married kids are in town, so we needed to celebrate more!!  Celebrate Ian's birthday more! So we went to dinner at Bucca and went to play laser tag!  Ian loved it.  Laser tag is so much fun!  Once I got it, I loved it.  I think Ian had a great birthday!!  He loves his siblings!

Happy Birthday Ian!

Sometimes I feel like time is moving so fast!  Ian turned 15 yesterday.  I always feel like, once they hit high school, life moves quickly.  Ian is such a joy to our family.  He is the sweetest.  I love when I catch him singing, "I love my mommy and my mommy loves me!"  I sure do!

We just had cake on his birthday.  His brothers and their wives are coming in today for the New Years and I am trying to put something together for him!  Also, his gift hasn't come in yet. He knows what it is and he is so excited for it. Of course Ian got his favorite ice cream sandwich cake.

Then I asked him his birthday questions.  Here they go.
1.  When you were a child, what games did you play in your house or neighborhood?
We played Wipe Out, Falling Building, and Then Space Ship.  Falling Building was when I broke my toe.  Zach would throw pillows at us.  We played these when you were on a date night.  Wipe Out is when I got my black eye.
2.  What activities do you enjoy doing today that you also enjoyed as a child?
Watching football, going to airshows, playing video games, and board games.
3.  Do you remember a special birthday party you've had?
I remember me, Aiden, and Mikey going to laser tag.
4.  If you could change any part of yourself, what would it be?
Nothing, I love myself.  I would run around naked more!
5.  What do you think about television? What are your favorite shows?
T.V. is good.  I like the Walking Dead and Vikings.
6.  Do you have a favorite sport, talent, or gift?
LAX is life bro!

Merry Christmas!

It is strange when your kids get older.  We have two married children now who went to spend time with the in-laws. Ian and Aubrey were with us.  We also noticed the older they get the less presents are under the tree. They want expensive things, so that usually means one or two presents under the tree. Also, they sleep in.  No more getting up super early!  I do like that one! Now tomorrow, I will be going out shopping with Aubrey and that will be her second Christmas!  You know, spending all her Christmas money.

After we opened up the presents, and yes, Don wanted a carpet cleaner, I got busy getting dinner ready!  Then we headed to church which was cut down to just an hour today.  We listened to the choir sing.  When we got home we called relatives and ate turkey!  It was good.  The kids looked beautiful in their Christmas clothes.  After that we just hung around.

Of course we have cute little outtakes of their Christmas photo shoot, thanks to snapchat!  These show off their personalities!
