Last weekend Don and I had the opportunity to go to Music In The Park with RMS. Don is the assistant principal there and oversees the fine arts department. Usually Don takes one of the kids with him, but this year he asked me to chaperon with him. So, the kids went to the Albright's (This just thrilled them!!! They love the Albrights.) and Don and I headed to California for the festival and a day in Disney! When we first went down there we went to the competitions. Oh my gosh, I was blown away! These kids are so talented. The choir, band, jazz band, and orchestra performed. Don and I went with the band and jazz band. It was so nice to sit back and watch them perform. Then we headed to the hotel. The kids were great. We did not have one problem. Everyone was so well behaved. I am so impressed. The next morning we headed to Disneyland for the day. The park was insane. All the schools for the festival were there, and the eighth graders from Don's school were there, and of course every school having their trips were there! Don and I just decided we would hit our favorite rides. Yes, we worked the system......fast pass! We got to go on some of our favorites a couple times! We also went to the festival's award ceremony. All of the Las Vegas schools did well, but RMS kicked butt! Jazz Band, choir, and women's choir won all of their divisions and best all around. It was awesome! I am so impressed with these kids and their teachers. It is so sad that some music programs are the first things cut when there are budget problems. These kids worked so hard and they were so proud. Their teachers are amazing too. It was fun to spend some time with these kids and their teachers.

Anyone that knows me well knows I do not like heights. Therefore, I have a problem with
roller coasters. Now, I will ride all of the
roller coasters in Disneyland. I don't have a problem with them at all. Even Space Mountain doesn't bother me. Hey it's dark in there, I can't see where I am going! Well Don has been bugging me forever to go on California Screaming at
California Adventure. It is a long story, but I finally gave in this weekend. It is the the picture of the
roller coaster behind me. O.k., as the countdown began and it shot me off to my death, I thought of two words.......divorce lawyer! I turned to Don and said, "This isn't good. I need to get off!" Don turned to me and said, "There is nothing I can do!" That is when I started to cry and kept asking Don to help me! Writing this now, it kind of reminds me of when I had Austin. I think I said the same words! (He was almost born in the car!) Once the drops were over, the loop didn't bother me at all. Would I do it again? Yeah, I will do it one more time for my kids. Don was very proud of me. See me holding on to the fence? I felt like I was going to fall over!

This is totally staged! We know exactly when the camera is going to go off!
