Weekly Update

Just some miscellaneous stuff that happened during the week before Thanksgiving.  We did service at Three Square food bank.  They needed help getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Ian got his permit, and has been learning how to drive.  I can't wait, maybe I won't have to drive to lacrosse all the time!
He also got an ugly sweater.  He is ready for the holiday!

Aubrey's Bridal Shower

Aubrey's maid of honor is Rachel.  So, being the maid of honor put her in charge of the bridal shower.  This girl is a senior in high school, and the captain of the dance team.  She is super busy, but with the help of her mom, she pulled together a beautiful shower.  The theme was "Bride and Co", like Tiffany's.  She also had a brunch because Aubrey loves breakfast.  The details where amazing.  The colors, sugar scrub, and backdrop were amazing.  Aubrey loved it.

They had games planned.  They made a video of Christian answers questions and then had Aubrey answer them.  It was very cute.  They also made wedding gowns out of toilet paper.  Our friend Emily's team won.

The Olsen women messed up their gift.  Too funny!

Members of Dance Fusion came out.

The Bride's Maids had fun.  It was a very cute shower.  Aubrey loved it.

Deck the Halls

Of course, the day after Thanksgiving is shopping and put up the decorations day.  We got a new tree this year.  Our old one just gave out.  It was so sad.  So we went to Costco and got a new one.  I swear, Costco has the best trees.  It was fun having the kids here.  Aubrey and Ian are the only ones I have to buy ornaments for.  As you can tell, they loved putting up the ornaments.

Christian and his sister were here to help us.
We got a family one in Canada.
This is our Canadian one.
We got Aubrey one in Canada with Dance Alliance on it.  This way she could remember the moment.
We got Ian a cross country one.  This picture makes me laugh because it looks like Darth Vader is coming after the runner.
Don got the house all done. It looks wonderful as always.

Even our trees look great.

Thanksgiving

Then a couple of days later, Aubrey, Christian, and his sister Emma came.  They spent Thanksgiving with us.  It was a great day.  No problems, nothing going wrong, it was great.

We ended the day going to see Thor 2 and eating way too much food.

Thanksgiving Break!

In Las Vegas we have the whole week off for Thanksgiving.  So we decided to go to Idaho for a quick trip to see Aubrey dance in the dance show at BYU-Idaho.  So we left school and drove up to Idaho.  Rachel, Aubrey's best friend said she couldn't come, but then last minute she came with us.  So we didn't tell Aubrey and surprised her.  She was so excited!!!
The Brasier women decided to hold a lunch in for Aubrey.  They wouldn't be able to make it to the shower, so they held her a lunch.  Now the restaurant, now that is another story.  How does a restaurant run out of veggies?  It was crazy.  So many things went wrong. What didn't go wrong is that Aubrey had fun and loved her gifts.  It was so nice of her family to do this.

We went to the show.  Aubrey was amazing. Her last number was a contemporary piece and it was amazing!!!  she has grown so much as a dancer.  The family came to the show and some friends come too.  It was so much fun!

Ian got a little extra love too.

Then we went to the Burg for some shakes!
The next day was the Meridian Temple Dedication. It was broadcast to the students and people of Idaho.  So we went to church with the kids and went to the dedication.   It was a really neat experience.  I love sharing spiritual things with my kids.

Then we headed back home to get ready for Thanksgiving.
