Back to School

It is back to school time.  The weekend before school started we decided to go out to breakfast.  We usually go out to dinner, but a new restaurant from Utah opened and we had to try it.  Yep we went to Kneaders.  They had all you can eat French Toast, and everyone in my family was excited about it.  Let me tell you, it was wonderful. I think I will be going back and eating some other treats!  It was fun to go out and just sit and talk to the kids before our life gets crazy again!

Then the first day of school happened for Ian.  Ian has changed so much in two weeks.  It has been crazy.  He has grown so much.  He is almost taller than me.  Ian cares about his hair and went to his hair dresser to work on a new style for him.  Everyone loves it.  Then he went out with Aubrey to help buy him school clothes.  I think he looks pretty good.  Aubrey even took him to the Baby Bulldog Breakfast for Freshman.  It has been a lot of changes for him in two weeks.  I am so impressed with Ian.  He really is maturing!  Then the first day of school came. The first day of high school and Ian was ready!!!  He looked so good!  He had a great first day and so far likes his teachers.  Of course there are always those teachers that are not too great, but I think he is going to have a great year!  He also loves his seminary teacher.  I think it will be good.

Ian wasn't the only one that had a first day.  Don and I did too.  Don went back to being the administrator of a local middle school and I went back to the elementary school.  Don has been back since August first, but I just went back.  It has been a crazy first week, but we are making it through it.  Summer is over.  We are sad!

BYOC at 7-11

It was one of the kids favorite days....BYOC at 7-11.  You bring your own container and you can fill it with slurpee for $1.50!  Not bad!  Now, 7-11 does have restrictions this year on the size of your container.  No more filling up the back of your truck or kiddie pools.  It doesn't matter.  The kids still love it!

Those Moments...

There are moments in my life when I see the kind of person my children will be.  You raise your kids, but you wonder what kind of adult will they be.  Today, I saw what kind of woman Aubrey will be.  This little girl in our ward thinks Aubrey is the greatest.  Maybe it is because she thinks Aubrey is a ballerina and she dances at the same studio Aubrey spent many years at.  During a church activity, this little girl told Aubrey that Aubrey was her BFF!  Aubrey promised her that she would take her for ice cream.  True to her word, Aubrey planned a date with her.  Today they went and got that ice cream.  This little girl was so excited, she dressed up for their date!  She probably needed something special.  She has a new baby sister.  Today, Aubrey made her feel so important and loved!  I love that Aubrey did this.  She is compassionate and kind.  Someday she will be a wonderful mother!  I was proud of her today! I am sure, Aubrey will always remember her little BFF!

Zach and Hailey's Bridals!

I don't know if I ever posted their engagement pictures, so here is one.  They took these in Idaho.
These are Hailey and Zach's bridals.  I posted just a couple.  I swear, each picture was perfect!!!  It is so hard to choose one for my wall.  When you look at these pictures you can see how in love they are.  I just love them.  I am so proud of these two.  They are just so cute and in love!!!  She is the perfect girl for my son!

The pictures were taken by Alex Lasota Photography.  I am sure she is located in Washington State.

Vegas Open House

This weekend we had Zachery and Hailey's open house in Las Vegas.  It was a way to celebrate their wedding with their friends here in Vegas.  It was a really nice party.  I think they really enjoyed it.  We had some of my family from Connecticut here.  That was very special. It was also nice to see some of Zach's very good friends there.  It is crazy to see that they are married and going on with their life.  We had our friend Rachel take some snap shots.  They were perfect.
